Thankful, by Meredith and Brett Bailess

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

There aren’t any better words to express how we feel as we reflect on our experience as Chairs for Day in the Country 2019. In this season of Thanksgiving, we are still reeling from the incredible work that our church community comes together to accomplish during the months, weeks and days leading up to this special day for Chapel of the Cross. From our veteran volunteers and chairpersons to the many new faces who jumped into the mix this year, each person and area continued to bring wonderful energy and ideas that combined to make the entire experience a great success.

It was our joy to serve the congregation and our community in this way. We have an even greater appreciation for the ministry that is Day in the Country. Beyond the exciting day for our guests, Day in the Country is a true testament to the hearts of our members and our commitment to continuing this special tradition.

Day in the Country 2020 is in excellent hands with the Bains, and we will continue to hold them and this special ministry in our hearts and our prayers.
