Chapel Friends:
Over the past few years the following prayer was prayed weekly by our Chapel congregation:
Gracious God, we thank you for the many blessings of this life, especially the Chapel of the Cross — those who came before us and those who will follow. Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts, inspire our dreams, and give us courage to answer your call to us. Lord Jesus, give us the spirit of wisdom, generosity, and perseverance as we step out in faith. In your Holy Name we pray. Amen.
This is so appropriate for each of us as we start our planning for another year at the Chapel. Giving generously of our time, talents, and treasures to God’s glory and to others is an opportunity to share the gifts we have been blessed with. As you know, paying for the programs we offer — the infrastructure, the staff, the outreach, the impact our Chapel can have on its members and others– is directly affected by the funds we have available.
Of course, generous giving is a personal decision. The level of time, talent, and treasure each person or family is able to give is their decision. So, we ask that you prayerfully consider making a pledge and increasing your annual commitment when you can so that the parish leadership can plan accordingly.
For first time pledgers and young families, a gift of any size, consistently given, will reap many blessings both here at the Chapel and in the community. Whatever the size or form of your commitment, your generous gift is important and appreciated. Please prayerfully consider what God tells you to do to be a steward of the Chapel of the Cross. Your pledge card response gives the Chapel leadership a clear and confident ability to create a balanced budget that meets the needs and obligations of this wonderful and unique place, the Chapel of the Cross.
To make your pledge to the Chapel for 2022, you may visit our stewardship page or you may contact Dana Tiffin in the parish office (601-856-2593 or dtiffin@chapelofthecrossms.org). You will have multiple opportunities to respond with your information over the next four weeks. And please anticipate a follow up call in early November if we have not received your response. It is essential for our timely planning process.
Thank you so much for your prayerful consideration.
