The Chapel of the Cross, under direction of the Diocese of Mississippi, has discontinued face-to-face worship and programming until further notice. Until then, we’ve compiled a page of resources for you and your family to stay engaged, prayerful, and occupied while practicing social distancing! Read below for streaming recommendations, helpful links and videos, and worship materials.
Below, find links included in our daily COVID-19 Cross Currents emails. These are great options for home entertainment and education for the whole family!
Throughout our time apart, we are sending out week-daily emails with resources, updates, and distractions. Text “cotc” to 84576 to automatically sign up for our emails!
The end of each of our emails is a Chapel Pet Photo of the Day. Times are uncertain, and we have been thinking about our pets as an emotional support while we are sheltering in place, feeling scared, and worrying about our loved ones. We’ve received so many of these sweet pet pictures that we can’t fit them all in our emails! Below, enjoy a video of the pet photos we’ve been sent so far.
Chapel Choir member Karen Bonner, a licensed counselor, created this short video on self care and meditation tips for keeping your anxiety at bay during the crisis.
Our wonderful Children’s Director, Stephania, created this instructional video on setting up a Catechesis-inspired prayer table at home. This is a great way to keep your kids and grandchildren engaged with prayer, but it is also a wonderful meditative practice for adults!
