Palm Sunday & Holy Week Schedule

Register for Palm Sunday and/or Holy Week services

Holy Week begins this Sunday, Palm Sunday, and the Chapel will offer opportunities every day to worship and enter into this most holy week.

To register for any and all Holy Week services, please clink the link above.  Nursery and Children’s Chapel will be offered on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday, 28 March: Holy Eucharist with the Procession of Palms and the reading of Christ’s Passion at 7:30a (in the Chapel of the Cross), 8:45a (in the Chapel of the Resurrection), 11a (in the Chapel of the Resurrection), and 5p (in the Chapel of the Cross).  Each service will begin with the Liturgy of the Palms in front of the Parish Hall.  Sunday School for all ages as normal at 10a.

Holy Week Eucharist, Monday, 29 March and Tuesday, 30 March: A simple celebration of the Eucharist with Homily at 6p in the Chapel of the Cross.

Stations of the Cross, Wednesday, 31 March: Walk the Way of the Cross on our outdoor stations at 6p.  We will gather at the station’s entrance, near the south side of the Chapel of the Resurrection’s parking lot.

Maundy Thursday, 1 April: Holy Eucharist with sermon and the Stripping of the Altar at 6p in the Chapel of the Resurrection.  Unfortunately, due to pandemic protocols, the Washing of Feet and the Agape Meal can not be shared this year.  We look forward to their return in 2022.

Good Friday, 2 April: Prayers for Good Friday with sermon in the Chapel of the Cross.  The Rt. Rev. Brian Seage, our Bishop of Mississippi, will be with us and preach.

Holy Saturday, 3 April: The Great Vigil of Easter with Holy Eucharist and sermon at 8p in the Chapel of the Resurrection.  We will begin with the New Fire in the churchyard then process into the Resurrection.

Easter Sunday, 4 April: The greatest day of all days, the Feast of the Resurrection, with gorgeous flowers, guest instrumentalists, Holy Eucharist, and sermon at 7:30a (in the Chapel of the Cross), 8:45a (in the Chapel of the Resurrection), 11a (in the Chapel of the Resurrection), and 5p (in the Chapel of the Cross).  During the 8:45 and 11, seating will also be available in the Parish Hall.  Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddos at 10a.  Registration for Easter will emailed to the parish on Wednesday, 31 March at noon.
