All Saints’ at the Chapel

The Necrology
The Necrology is a list of those who have died since All Saints’ Day last year. At the All Saints’ Day eucharist this Saturday, November 1, we will read these names and we will read them again at all services on All Saints’ Sunday, November 2. Those buried from the Chapel of the Cross are automatically included, but if you would like to include a family member or friend please send their full name to Will by Friday, October 31.

All Saints’ Day – Saturday, November 1st
Saturday, November 1st, is All Saints’ Day. This is one of the seven principal feasts of the church year. We will have a eucharist at 5p in the Memorial Garden. At that service, we will read the necrology, which is a list of those who have died this past year. Come join us as we remember those we love who have run the race set before us.

All Saints Sunday – Sunday, November 2nd
We will continue with our regular worship schedule for All Saints’ Sunday with services at 8:00am and 5:00pm in the Chapel of the Cross and a 10:30am service in the Chapel of the Resurrection. The Necrology will be read at all three services.

Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos Service – Sunday, November 2nd
After the 5:00pm service on November 2nd, we will have a service celebrating Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in the churchyard by the Chapel of the Cross. If you would like to remember the life of a loved one, please bring a picture of the person, an item that represents something the person liked to do, a beverage he or she liked to drink and some finger food that the person enjoyed that can be shared. Tables will be provided. You may also want to tell a short story about the person during the service.
